For me as a film -maker, it is vital to exchange 3d -data between various 3d and compositing applications while maintaining the most possible data information such as mapping, polygonal smoothing groups and level of detail. Same or similar demands appear within archeological projects when 3d models or scenery must be viewed with indifferent programs. I would like to share my expierences in this field and show my solutions or workarounds to solve some of these tasks.
