After a year of challenges due to the global COVID 19 pandemic, CHNT 26 aims to bring together international scientists from all over the world who are involved in research, conservation and management and provide innovative ideas for the sustainable preservation of the world’s cultural heritage.

As it is still not possible for all participants to travel to Vienna in person, the organising committee has chosen a hybrid format for the conference.

So what do we actually mean by a hybrid conference?

In a hybrid conference, part of the participants and speakers are present on site and another part is connected live online. Hybrid formats are often referred to as a form of social innovation.
CHNT 26 now offers the possibility to attend the conference on site in the City Hall of Vienna or to participate virtually via the conference tool hopin. Hopin offers a practical platform to connect speakers, participants and exhibitors. With its own exhibition area, companies can present themselves in the best possible way and make direct contact with people. In addition, hopin provides a structured overview of all sessions and round tables.

Unfortunately, the online platform cannot replace the social events in the evening and the coffee and cake breaks. For this reason, the organising committee would be pleased to have many participants on site*.

*The final decision on whether a hybrid format is possible will be made in early September.
