If 2020 was the year of the virtual conferences, 2021 could be the year of the hybrid conferences.
The organization team of CHNT 26, 2021 is prepared to host Hybrid CHNT the City Hall of Vienna.
VENUE
The City Hall is one of the most splendid monumental buildings of Vienna. It was designed by Friedrich Schmidt (1825-1891). It was erected between 1872 and 1883 in gothic style. The tower of the City Hall is similar to gothic cathedrals.
Today the City Hall is the head office of Vienna’s municipal administration. More than 2000 people work in the building.
The Coat of Arms Halls (Wappensäle)
In these rooms lectures, round tables, advanced archaeological trainings and the science slam will take place.
There will be also a coffee area and exhibition area.
The two adjoining rooms originally housed the collection of the municipal arsenal. They were redesigned in the 1960’s after the collection had been relocated to larger premises at the Wien Museum.
Both rooms are featured with a coffered ceilings made from precious wood with 22-carat gold-plated decorative rosettes. The wall-hangings on the silk damask walls show the coats of arms of Austria’s nine federal provinces and their respective capital cities.
BUT
The CHNT organization committee will also be prepared to host Virtual CHNT.
We hope that the circumstances will allow Hybrid CHNT.
