She studied Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Vienna. In 1996 she started working for the urban archaeology office of the city of Vienna. She built up the organisation as a department of the viennese cultural administration. In 2003 she became the head of the department. Since then she is responsible for the organisation of projects, for 32 employees, all financial matters and for public relations. She is the representative of the City of Vienna in various boards such as the steering group for “Roman Limes in Austria as World Heritage Site” and the “ARGE Donauländer”, the reunion of all regions along the Danube River. She took part in the conference and its organisation since the first time it was held in 1996, since 2003 she has the honour to be the president of the conference.
