What’s a Heuriger?
Heuriger is the abbreviation of “heuriger Wein” (this year’s wine) in Austrian and Bavarian German. Originally, it was a simple open-air tavern on the premises of winemakers, where people would bring along food and drink the new wine.

 

Post Conference Vienna

The Post Conference starts in the Wien Museum on Karlsplatz with lectures about the archaeology of Vienna from the prehistory to the medieval age. The Welcome address will be done by the director of the Wien Museum, Matti BUNZL. After a lunch in the best museums coffee “AGGYS” we will visit the Roman Museum of Vienna, the Botanical Garden and then at the end of the day you could choose between a short visit of the Kunsthistorische Museum Vienna or the Naturhistorische Museum Vienna where you will get special guided tours.

 

Post Conference Bratislava

Copyright: BTB BratislavaThe Post Conference starts in the Mirror Hall of the Primatial Palace. In 1805 there was signed the peace treaty between the Austrian Empire and Napoleon’s France.
Admire wooden floor, red carpets, white high ceiling, huge chandeliers, golden elements on the walls as well as furniture and big golden mirrors with lamps in each of the rooms; and of course, the famous English tapestries which were manufactured in Great Britain in the 17th century.

After the Welcome address by the Lord Mayor, Mr. Ivo NESROVNAL, learn more about the digitisation of Cultural Heritage of Slovakia.
By the invitiation of the Bratislava Tourist Board the participants will have a lunch-buffet at the Restaurant Savoy, in the historical hotel Carlton. The hotel was visited by a number of important guests such as Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Arthur Rubinstein, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein.

In the afternoon you will be guided to the Old City of Bratislava. One special tour point is the wine tasting in the National Wine Salon (in the cellar rooms of Apponyi Palace, City Museum). At he end of the day you will be transported Tourist Train Prešporáčik) to the Bratislava Castle, the last stop at the Post Conference Bratislava and also the Congress Visual Heritage 2018.
