Abstract:
During a survey campaign we collect a wide and various documentation about the studied monument. For the study and survey of an architecture we can produce sketches and drawings, shoot some pictures or acquire points clouds. From points cloud we can obtain 3d models useful to create some others multimedia like videos and simulations.
These materials can describe easily an architecture or a small archaeological site. Different is the representation of architectures deeply connected each other and, at the same time, whit the environment.
A clear examples of this difficult situation are the rupestrians and hypogeans settlements. Most of them are very complex and the architectural systems are difficult to understand and to describe.
Often the monuments are also hard to reach. For this reason we design a digital museumization which can show all the collected materials starting from a simple and intuitive application.
The application is based on VR photographs organized in a virtual tour . During the tour additional contents can be open, through an interactive link, to deepen the knowledge of the displayed object.
Various typologies of additional contents can be used, like drawings, pictures, videos, texts or external link.
Therefore the application simplify the understanding of the architecture and the environment providing an interactive overview.
The application could be used also for the distribution and promotion of the cultural heritage online.
